Do you need a Display or PLC Connections for your Slow Flow Meter Oil Counter?
The Ren Slow Flow Meter Measures Lube Oil Consumption on engine and compressor applications. Sometimes there is a bit of confusion on how the display works for this meter?
The Slow Flow Meter is sold with or without a display on the unit.
Two Models to choose from are the RN24044 model with a digital display and the RN24026 model without a display, but has PLC connections. (Pictured above.)
- With a Display – The Ren Slow Flow Meter comes from the factory with a digital display (RN24044) and reads in either gallons or liters.
- Without a Display – The RN24026 is sold with no digital display, but has two sets of contacts which supply a switch closure for each 1/40th of a gallon (1/10th of a quart). These contacts can be connected to a PLC or PC, and can also be connected to an optional remote oil consumption display.
But what happens when you need both?
There are two conversion kits you can purchase to upgrade your existing meters that will help you accomplish this.
